As a Support Worker with Engage Norfolk, no two days are ever likely to be the same!

 

You will be working with individuals with a range of disabilities and complex needs, providing the support and assistance required to enable them to live as independently as possible. This means that one day you might be supporting someone to do their weekly shop, helping them cook lunch, accompanying them to the theatre, or just providing a little companionship and a listening ear.

 

You do not need to have formal qualifications to join our team as we will provide you with full training for your Care Certificate but a commitment to ongoing training and development is essential. You will also need to have a friendly and sociable personality, with good communication skills, and a genuine desire to see the indivdiuals you support reach their potential.

LOCATION:  West Norfolk (PE34)

We are currently looking for an experienced Support Worker to join an existing team working with a client living just outside King’s Lynn, Norfolk (PE34). You will be required to provide support 8:00am – 6:00pm Mondays and Thursdays. Flexibility to cover additional days for staff holidays and sickness would also be useful. There may also be the opportunity for extra hours on occasional evenings and weekends.

 

‘Marie’ is a 34-year-old young lady who has cerebral palsy, learning and physical disabilities and complex health needs. We are looking for fun, energetic staff who can works alongside the current team to support ‘Marie’ in all areas of her daily life and maximize ‘Marie’s engagement in social and community activities. ‘Marie’ does have some complex needs, but she has a keen love of life and enjoys trying new things, socializing and being out and about.

 

‘Marie’ lives at home with her parents and two dogs and it is essential that you are comfortable working in this environment. You will be working on a one-to-one basis so previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, and ‘Marie’s complex needs require that you are confident in your own abilities, however, full training and induction will be given and support from our Support Office is always be available.

SHIFTS:

Monday 08:00am - 6:00pm

Thursday 08:00am - 6:00pm
